I am Elizabeth Roberts, a certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant & Natural Foods Chef. I am devoted to working with clients who need a little, or a lot of help learning to live harmoniously with a special diet, illness, or health concern.
My specialties are Digestive Health & Auto Immune Disease. I have chosen these as my focus for two reasons. First, I live an excellent life even though I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (an auto-immune disease) 18 years ago. By changing my nutrition lifestyle I now lead an active and productive life despite what can be a life-altering illness.
I specialize in Digestive Health because I know good gut health is at the root of our overall health, and many health problems can often be improved by focusing on, and improving, a person’s digestive health. Auto-immune diseases such as Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Celiac disease, Hashimoto’s, Addison’s, & Type 1 Diabetes can all be helped by improving your Digestive Health. Other conditions such as IBS, pre-Diabetes, Fatty Liver disease, Fibromyalgia, and High Cholesterol can also be improved by making changes to how and what one eats.
One thing you should know about me is that I don’t believe in “diets.” If diets worked, we would all be healthy, slim, and vibrant. Instead, I believe in teaching you how to eat well for your specific, individual needs. We all require differing amounts of healthful foods and nutrients and no one “diet” is right for every individual. I will gently guide you to making healthier food and lifestyle choices and I do this without judgment, blame, or pushing an agenda.
My goal is simple: Helping you to implement a new nutrition lifestyle to gain your best health.
Using an Eating for HealthTM approach to nutrition, you will learn how to shop for, prepare, and enjoy delicious, healthful SOUL foods: Seasonal, Organic, Unrefined, and as Locally grown as possible. With time, your body will detox and rejuvenate as you become the co-creator in obtaining your best self.
